Medirest, as part of Compass Group Australia, will be the joint facility services provider for the groundbreaking new Melton Hospital, supporting the Melton and wider western suburbs of Melbourne.
A fully electric hospital, it will provide at least 274 beds, a 24-hour emergency department, intensive care unit, outpatient care, maternity and neonatal, mental health, and radiology services, as well as a training hub for doctors and nurses. As a member of the Exemplar Health consortium, Compass Group Australia will be responsible for the soft services including cleaning, waste management, grounds and gardens, materials distribution, carpark management, portering and PSA services over the 25-year operating period.
